Cumann Pheadair Naofa were delighted to see that hard work pays off when we were recently informed that our Plantium Club Maith Status would be renewed. Renewal of Club Maith platinum accreditation which is the highest accolade which can be achieved by any club is awarded by Ulster GAA Council in association with Sport NI Club Mark.
Ulster President Martin McAviney presented recently accredited clubs with their Club Maith certificates at a recent event in Ceannaras Uladh, Armagh. Receiving the only Plantium certificate of the evening, on behalf of the club were, Secretary Anne McCormack, PRO Aislíng McGivern, Development Officer Feargal McCormack and senior committee member Eoin Magennis. On the evening certificates were also presented to neighbouring clubs along St Marys Burren and Tullylish (Co. Down).
President Martin, whos term in office ends on 31 Janaury 2016 congratulated the clubs for their efforts in “raising the standards within their clubs to a level of excellence”, and spoke of the importance of highlighting clubs in this way in order to encourage other clubs to also become accredited.
