Warrenpoint hosted the last of the club blitzes on Saturday for both U8 & U10 hurlers. Despite the fall in team numbers due to other commitments this year, all the teams that showed up were treated to over 2 hours of hurling.
In the U8 section Cumann Pheadaír Naofa played matches against Clonduff 1, Clonduff 2 & Liatroim. The Warrenpoint lads acquitted themselves well winning four, drawing one and losing one. Whilst the U10s entertained Clonduff and Knockbridge and with a few players making their first appearance at a blitz Colette’s U10s managed to get a win, a draw and two narrow defeats. The weather was very favorable and everybody enjoyed a great day with tea & coffee being served for those watching on from the sidelines.
