Back in March 2022, Warrenpoint GAA were delighted to announce that our club coach, Aaron Gregory, had been appointed to fulfil the new role of ‘Club/School Gaelic Games Coach’ (funded by the Department of Communities).
In his role Aaron successfully helped to further develop the strong links that exist between the club and our local primary school, St. Dallan’s. The innovative new scheme provided the children in St. Dallan’s PS with term-time Gaelic coaching which will now continue into the summer months in support of club activities.
In total, St Peter’s GAA held two four week Gaelic football coaching programmes in St Dallan’s which saw over 270 children participating and enjoying playing Gaelic football. After the final round of coaching sessions, Aaron presented every child with a certificate for their effort and participation. Well done all!!
