Cumann Pheadair Naofa’s health and well being officer, Katrina Kernan attended an all day training course at Croke park on Saturday 20 February for the launch of phase 2 of the GAA Healthy Club Project.

Recently over 100  clubs had applied to join the scheme and 50 clubs including Cumann Pheadair Naofa were lucky enough to be selected to start this 18 month project which has the aim of improving the health of our club and our community. CPN were thanked for their contribution to the phase 1 project and there were presentations on the day from several of the Phase 1 clubs on remarkable projects they had rolled out from ‘Operation Transfaughmation’ by Castleblaney Faughs , to ‘How are you feeling today?’ by Colmcilles , Co Louth. In the next few weeks Katrina is looking forward to hearing our members views on what we think the health and well-being priorities of our club should be going forward and putting together our project plans.

We would be delighted to hear from anyone who wants to join the CPN healthy club team or who has opinions on what projects we could introduce to the club. Anyone wanting to discuss or offer help can contact Katrinakernan @hotmail.co.uk
