Katrina Kernan and Eilish Burns attended the Ulster leg of the GAA Healthy Club Roadshow on Saturday morning in Jordanstown University. There was a packed house of delegates from all over Ulster interested in hearing about the healthy club project to date.
Four Ulster clubs took part in the question and answer session to talk about their projects. St Peter’s Warrenpoint was featured for our healthy eating projects, namely: Recipes for Success, Healthy eating for families on a budget and our healthy smoothies on La Na gClubanna.
GAA Healthy Club Ambassador Mickey Harte was fulsome in his praise of all the amazing work being done by clubs all over Ireland. Phase 3 of the healthy clubs will start in 2018 with 150 clubs applying to reach the criteria to be a healthy club.
If anyone would like to get involved in St Peter’s Healthy Club projects we would be delighted to hear from you.
