Club chairman Eugene Gallagher announced the return of Lá na gClubanna which will take place on Sunday 8 May 2016. This special day dedicated to GAA clubs and club activities will enable clubs to take centre stage and afford them the opportunity to celebrate their existence and impact in their community and reconnect with their locality.
Cumann Pheadair Naofa will be putting a programme of event in place to celebrate the day and is delighted that Uachtarán Aogán Ó Fearghail said: “Where we are at our best in the GAA – is in the Clubs. The absolute importance of the Club to the GAA is something I see and am made keenly aware of in my regular visits to clubs around the country and abroad.”
“Lá na gClubanna is a day when our Clubs get to be centre stage and I’d encourage every Club in our Association to use this opportunity to celebrate who they are, where they are form and the role they play in our communities. Keep up to date with social media and our website for further details.
