The Cumann Pheadair Naofa Annual Fancy Dress Hurling Match took place on St. Stephen’s Day at Milltown Playing Fields. The event was open to young and old alike, as hurlers, ex-hurlers and part-timers, aged 16 to 50 braved the elements to enjoy the day’s craic and shake off the excesses of the Christmas dinner.

Indeed the bitter cold and rain did not dampen the jovial spirit of everyone on the field and those who came to watch from the side-line. After the hurling had finished, Gerry O’Neill donned the chef’s hat to serve a much welcomed bowl of soup to the players and spectators. Damien McConville Hurling Chairman thanked the patrons who attended for their generous support.
