Cumann Pheadair Naofa are breaking tradition and this year’s 34th Annual Family Fun Day and Duck Derby will take place at Warrenpoint Municipal Park on Sunday 13 August. The change of venue creates lots of opportunities and event organiser Feargal McCormack said the move of venue is a positive one which will see the community gather in one of the town landmarks for a day of fun for everyone.
There will be face painting, bouncy castles, dancing competition, entertainment, arts and crafts and many more exciting stalls. The Annual Duck Derby will also take place and ducks are currently for sale from any underage player. Entry into the family fun day is £2 with children free and will begin following the conclusion of the Maidens of the Mournes Festival Parade in Prince’s Street, and thus will have a later starting time of 4pm.
