Cumann Pheadair Naofa Hurling Section hosted the final County Down U-8 and U-10 Blitz competition of the season at St. Mark’s High School on Saturday past. The Blitz was well attended with eleven U-8 and ten U-10 teams participating. The participating teams were Kilclief, Ballycran, Ballyvarley,Carryduff, Laoitroim, Craobh Rua, Portaferry, Ballela, Bredagh and host club Cumann Pheadair Naofa. There was a very high standard of hurling across the eight pitches and family and supporters enjoyed the feast of hurling and were appreciative of the excellent organisation. It was a good day for the Cumann Pheadair Naofa U-8 and U-10 hurlers, with the U-8 team remaining undefeated throughout the day and strong performances from the U-10 hurlers in all of their games.
