Teagan Honoured At Croke Park

Cumann Pheadair Naofa youth member Teagan Carvill was honoured at Croke Park on Saturday past, when she was presented with a Certificate from winning All-Ireland Armagh senior footballer Jarly Og Burns at the national GAA Youth Leadership Awards. Teagan, who represented youth at the GAA Congress in 2023 was recognised for her contribution to the GAA Generations Programme. Teagan’s project involved recording an interview with Anne McCormack, the current Club Children’s Officer and former Club Secretary. The Youth Awards Presentation Ceremony included an inspirational address by GAA President Jarlath Burns.

Teagan and Anne were also selected to participate in an interesting Question and Answer Session chaired by Colin Regan, national GAA Community & Health Manager, where they shared their volunteer activities and community experience in Warrenpoint GAA club, a club operating at the heart of its local community, for the whole of family, for the whole of life. Teagan’s range of volunteer club leadership roles were highlighted, including participation in the National GAA Youth Forum, Captain of club LGFA U-16 team and coach with GAA for ALL.
