For their final match before the exam break, the U18 ladies travelled to neighbours Rostrevor, for what turned out to be a typical game of two halves. Rostrevor raced into a first-half lead, through direct running & strong finishing, but the Blues just about kept the home team in sight, by taking regular points.
In the second-half, the visitors had much the better of the game & outscored their hosts two to one, to set-up a nail biting finish. Another few minutes playing time might have seen a different result, but in the end, Rostrevor held on to take the spoils. A great competitive display by both sets of players.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Kate Mansfield, who sustained a nasty injury. Hope to see you back on the grass soon Kate!
