On Saturday 26th April Cumann Pheadaír Naofa U9 hurlers made the short trip to Dundalk for the final Pre season blitz before the outdoor season starts in a few weeks time.
Unfortunately the blitz was cancelled at short notice with Cumann Pheadaír Naofa already at the venue. Not to be deterred by this ‘minor’ hiccup the management and parents decided to make the most of the unseasonably warm weather and a quick dash to Templetown beach was hastily organised.
Great craic was had by the parents and children who made the journey to the beach. Hurls were used as shovels, sandcastles were made, holes were dug and a game of hurling broke out in the midst of everything happening.
Thanks to the parents and management for making a great day truly memorable after the disappointment of the blitz being cancelled.
