On Saturday 20th July 19 a very successful Cultural Workshop was held in St Marks with some 28 club children taking part .Much to the delight of the cultural committee & mentors some budding thespians, musicians, singers & dancers came to the fore. Examples of how our cultural activities can be developed within our club was highlighted by a display from our current U 12 Down Fleadh ceili dance winners, last year’s Junior Scor ballad group and our Senior Scor mixed ceili & set dance champions.
Finally we had a lovely surprise when Claudia Mallon demonstrated her newly found solo singing skills with her rendering of the well known song – Red Is the Rose
As a result of the success of our taster workshops we are planning further workshops on 31 August from 10am- 1pm in St Marks, so save the date!!
