Last week past, 1st to the 5th July saw the return of our very successful summer week. With over 80 children attending each day proved to be one of the best summer weeks so far. The summer week was well represented by both the hurling and camogie with Warrenpoint management in place throughout the week and the children got to learn and improve their skills from an array of coaches we had Active Community Coaches, Conor McLornan senior hurler for Carryduff and Down, Ronan Sheehan senior hurling manager with Shamrocks and Down, Danny Toner senior hurler with Ballygalget and Down and Ulster GAA coach , Kevin Hinphey senior player from Derry and Ulster GAA coach and Marie  Walls ex county camogie player and treasurer with the Down County Board to help and guide them throughout the week.

The Fresh food centre Warrenpoint gladly supported the week and each child was given free water and fruit to promote and encourage healthy eating.

The summer week would not of happened without the support of our coaches and players, with a lot giving up their free time to ensure the week ran smoothly and with great success and most importantly to promote hurling and camogie in the area.
