U8s in first blitz
Sunday morning was a beautiful morning for football and the young blues didn’t disappoint bringing home some medals from their first blitz of the year in Crossmaglen. Congrats to all and a big thank you to the coaches and parents.
U12’s in Magheralin
Our U12 footballers made the long journey to Magheralin on Sunday morning to take on St Michael’s in a very competitive league section. The young blues struggled to get to grips of the game throughout the first half which combined with some good football from the hosts saw the Warrenpoint boys go into the interval 3 points adrift. Half time score Warrenpoint 1.01 St Michael’s 1:04
The 2nd half saw the Warrenpoint boys start exceptionally well, with the scores evened up after a Warrenpoint goal seconds after the restart. This score provided a massive lift to the boys in blue with the next 10 minutes seeing the boys scoring a further 1:02 unanswered. After a St Michael’s mini revival, the Warrenpoint boys were able to see the game out on a scoreline of St Michael’s 1:07 Warrenpoint 4:06.
