Cumann Pheadair Naofa GAA proudly welcomes back Warrenpoint Operation Transformation starting this January 2019. This will be a 7week, team based activity program that will follow the RTE Operation transformation TV and radio show with the aim to Move More and Eat Better. Whether you would like to lose some weight, become a little fitter, walk 4 miles in under an hour, run your first 5k or get out of the house to attend weekly fitness classes and brisk walks, then Warrenpoint Operation Transformation will have something for you. Registration at Operation Transformation desk on Sunday 6 January from 3-5pm in Clubrooms (As part of club registration day).
Weekly Activities
We will provide exercise classes three a week, Monday, Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings (tailored to all fitness levels by Ross McGarry and Brendan Rice), couch to 5K on Tuesday and Wednesday nights with top running coach Dermot Mathers and Pilates on a Friday night with Jerome Johnston finished with a brisk team walk at the weekend. At induction those signed up will be divided into teams and given team coloured t shirts. We will record your weight and waist size at the start and end of the 6 weeks (This is optional and all information is private). There will also be an option to have a private weekly weigh in Walsh’s pharmacy.
Team Challenge
Each team will have an appointed leader to keep their team motivated and following the
RTE Operation transformation leaders.
The team element will be judged on the following (all of which are optional)
- Team weight loss.
- Team Inch loss around waist.
- Team weekly activity log recording every 30 mins of exercise (this can be either team
activities or individual activity).
Registration and Cost
The price of the 7 week programme, including your team colour T -shirt and 7 days of activities is £75. It will be ideal for family members and groups of friends to get together and support each other or get the friendly rivalry going. Over 18 only and you must get the ok from your GP if you have any medical condition. Registration forms can be downloaded from club website and delivered to any club officer with payment (cash only). Indicate on registration form if you want to be allocated a team with friends. Final registration at Operation Transformation desk in clubrooms on Sunday 6 January from 3-5pm (as part of club annual registration day).
