Doing their bit for our ‘24 Hour Moveathon’, our U-10 LGFA team set off to Clonduff to participate in the annual U-10 Down Blitz, on Saturday 22nd September.
With two teams of nine, the girls played five games each in very competitive groups. After two very hard opening games against more experienced and stronger teams in Carryduff and Clonduff, the girls finally got into their stride in the last three matches. Both teams put on fantastic displays of scoring and defence against Ballykinlar, Rostrevor and Carrickcruppen.
With these young girls only in their first year as a team, the future of LGFA is bright in Warrenpoint. Thanks for the great support from the girls’ families and, also to the girls for the four renditions of ‘Baby Shark’ sang on the way home on the bus which really made the day!
