Cumann Pheadair Naofa hosted an inter club U-12 football tournament on Saturday 23 August 2015 in memory of Ciaran Gallagher who played football for Warrenpoint at U-8 level to minor level and later as a reserve footballer. Ciaran was tragically killed in a road traffic accident in New York some years ago. Saval, Kilcoo, Laitroim, Mayobridge, along with host Club Warrenpoint participated in the Tournament which was held at Pairc Liam Uí Ír. This was a very sporting and competitive tournament with excellent displays of Gaelic football. The overall winners were Kilcoo and the CPN specially commissioned crystal trophy was presented to the winning team by Mary Marro, daughter of the late Ciaran Gallagher.
