On Wednesday evening our U12 footballers continued their League campaign, making the short journey up the carriage way to face Newry Shamrocks.
The beginning of the first half saw both sides ease their way into the game exchanging some fine scores at both ends of the field. The latter part of the first half saw the Warrenpoint lads begin to dominate possession and started to find quite a few openings in the Shamrocks defence. The young blues went into the half-time break just 2 points in front after kicking a number of wides.

The secondhalf saw the Warrenpoint boys struggle to find the spaces that they enjoyed in the 1st half. As a result of this the Shamrocks team came more into the game and began to exert some pressure on the blues defence. In the end the Newry boys came out on top of a very tight game on a scoreline of 2.10 to 2.08
