On Friday past Katrina Kernan and Mary Walsh travelled to GAA Headquaters where St Peter’s GAA received official GAA healthy club status at a recognition day in Croke Park with a healthy club plaque, flag and certificate from Uachtaran Aogan O Fearghail. We are among the first clubs in the association to receive Healthy Club recognition (2018-2020) following our successful participation in the GAA Healthy Club Project.
There was a great buzz among the 58 clubs presented with certificates today and Colm O Regan, GAA national Health and wellbeing coordinator , shared some of the healthy club stories from all over Ireland. He reported the Healthy Club Project is gathering momentum and phase 3 will start in 2018 with 150 clubs invited to participate.
