On Saturday 27th May, Cumann Pheadair Noafa Ladies Football Section welcomed U12 teams from Bosco, Clonduffand Mayobridge to our annual U12 Ladies Tournament in memory of Geraldine Trainor.
The 90 young girls all enjoyed a wonderful morning of competitive football and a delicious lunch kindly provided by the Warrenpoint U12 parents. Clonduff emerged the delighted and worthy winners of the tournament.
Club Secretary, Anne McCormack, thanked the girls, managers and parents from all participating clubs for attending, helping to make the day such a success. A special word of thanks was extended to Caelan McAteer and Niall O’Connor who referred the matches and also to Mickey O’Connor who did a fantastic job as MC!
Cumann Pheadair Naofa Ladies Gaelic Co-ordinator, Noreen Kelly, commenting on the success of the tournament, highlighted how Ladies Gaelic within the club is continuing to grow from strength to strength.
