On Monday evening the U14 footballers faced Ballyholland away from home, with the winner set to secure second place in the League.
The young blues, got off to a strong start and by the middle of the first half had 1.05 on the score-board, to Ballyhollands 0.03, with Warrenpoints points coming from L Kelly, S McAnulty, D Breen, and 2 from D Ruddy the goal coming from R 0’Hara.
Unfortunately at this stage the young blues took their foot of the gas and Ballyholland found their form scoring 3 goals and 4 points without reply, leaving the half-time score 3.07 to 1.05.
Ballyholland re-started after the break in a similar vein and scored 9 goals and 7 points in the second half, Warrenpoint, down to 14 men for most of the second half managed to score 5 goals and 4 points.
Warrenpoint now sit in third place in the league.
