Cumann Pheadair Naofa minors took on neighbours Rostrevor in round 5 of the All County minor league. The blues started brightly with the impressive Ruairi McCormack kicking too early points to get point underway. Eoghan Byrne continued his impressive form from last week to add a goal and two points before the reds struck a goal to keep the game alive. Jason Buchanan and Jamie lynch added points to leave the six in it at half time. Half time score 1-6 to 1-0
Eoghan kick to great couple of points to leave the blues in control before the reds tagged a few points and then took control of the game! Rostrevor hit three goals in quick succession after the point defence lost the aerial battle with Rostrevor pumping the long ball in. Rostrevor took the lead and the young blue men had to dig deep to claw back into the game. Aaron McBurney came to life hitting a goal and two points in the half. With the game in the balance Ruairi McCormack took control of the match with an excellent run and finish to the top corner and then a well taken point to confirm a narrow victory for Cumann Pheadair Naofa by two points. Final score 3-13 to 5-5
