Warrenpoint were lucky enough to secure one of the 15 spots for delivery of Real Talks to club members. There was a vey large turnout for Real Talks on Thursday past, it is a dynamic organisation founded by Alan O’Mara that facilitates discussions on the importance of mental health, effective communication, personal leadership and resilience. Alan, the author of the best-selling memoir ‘The Best Is Yet To Come’, begins this process by using his story as a catalyst to start conversations with others and break down stigma around depression, stress and anxiety. Alan has partnered with the GAA Healthy Club project to facilitate a session in our club.

Thanks to Health and Wellbeing Officer, Katrina Kernan for organising the Alan O’ Mara RealTalk’s presentation in the Clubrooms. There was a great turnout and certainly was a very compelling story with a valuable message which  underlines the importance of family, friends and community in building resilience together.

The Health and Wellbeing project continues to add tremendous value to our club for every member.
