Brendan Rice has been appointed as the club Games and Coaching Development Officer for the 2017 season. Brendan, who has help may roles within the club, was delighted to be appointed into the position, one of the most important roles in any club. Brendan, currently a club referee and member of senior committee now has the role of overseeing, preparing, updating and maintaining a coaching plan for all club games.
Brendan will ensure that all club coaches are up to date with coaching courses, resources and training drills as well as ensuring the child is centre focus at all times.
Brendan’s role will see him work across all games and also in conjunction with schools, clubs and county to ensure all the needs of our youth are met. When speaking about his position Brendan said, “I am absolutely delighted to take on this challenge, it has been a role I have always been interested in. Although my coaching within the club has in the past been football based, I am thoroughly looking forward to working with all codes in Cumann Pheadair Naofa.” We wish Brendan all the best in his new role and look forward to the new season.
