The Under 21’s continued their run in this year’s championship with a win over a good Burren side on Sunday. From the off the point lads were ruthless in taking their scores and and Aaron Magee played well in midfield getting better with every game after being out for six months injured . Burren made a comeback and capitalised on the possession they managed to wrestle back from the point lads.
The second half was fiercely fought and a re-energised Burren team put the challenged to the Warrenpoint side. However a cracking Magee goal saw the point lads push the game out of Burren’s reach. Donagh Mc aleenan was exceptional all game and the local derby game was played in a good spirit.
The final score was 3.12 to 2.11.
