Our U16 management team along with Captain Peter Sweeney and Vice Captain Ruairi McCormack attended the launch of the 2016 Paul McGirr Ulster Championship on Saturday at Garvaghey in County Tyrone, there was a large crowd in attendance from all the respective counties along with members of the McGirr family. The Ulster Secretary Elect Brian McAvoy spoke highly of this prestigious tournament and praised the Dronore club and McGirr family on the work they have put in to this event. He also spoke of how much work the Spitit of Paul McGirr has done in Zambia,Africa.
The draw took place and the first two teams drawn would play in the preliminary round, first team out was Aughnamullen of Monaghan and the second team was Cumann Pheadair Naofa. This game is scheduled to be played Saturday 29 October at 5pm, all of the games in this Championship will be played at Dromore St Dympnas ground.
