Cumann Pheadair Noafa U16 footballers travelled to Carryduff for their second game of the championship round robin. Carryduff came out strong at the start scoring 2-1 to Warrenpoint’s 0-1 in the first 10 minutes. However the blues regrouped with Shea madden and Kohree Hourican taking control in defence allowing the blues to kick into gear! Well taking points from Ruairi McCormack, Conor Lavery and Eoghan Byrne closed the gap before a superb finish in the top corner from Cian McLoughlin pushed the blues ahead at half time.

Warrenpoint came out in the second half and stepped up in all departments. The full back line got on top stopping the Carryduff attacks and the excellent defending from everyone on the pitch kept Carryduff to just one point in the second half. At the other end the blues attack become more fluid with excellent scores from Jamie lynch, Aaron McBurney and two from Eoin Carr. The blues didn’t let up and hit the net twice through Eoghan Byrne and Harry houlahan. Best on the night were Kohree Hourican Shea madden and Eoin Carr. Final score 3-10 to 2-2
