The reserve footballers opened their championship campaign with a dominant win over An Riocht at home on Sunday. Club stalward of the game Anthony Grimes made a starting appearance along side past senior footballer David O’Connor who rattled the back of the net with a fanastic goal which entertained the crowds.
The team put in a supert team performance with many old and new faces making an appearance including some minors making their debut as well as returns to football from Mickey Mo, Ciaran McGivern and Conor McGarry! The Point kept pressure high throughout game and also finding the net were Anton Magill and Christy Carr! Best on the day were Mark Burke Davo and Adam Lynch Final score 3-20 to 1-3.
