Cumann Pheadair Naofa Under 10’s took part this weekend in the Annual Mayobridge Under 10 Tournament. Credit must be given to the organising comittiee for the event as it was an extremely well run event with a smooth flowing transition of matches and everyone present enjoyed the mid morning lunch provided by the hard working team within the community centre beside the pitch.
Cumann Pheadair Naofa competed in the Cup Tournament and faced a tough opening group against the likes of Crossmaglen from Armagh, Scotstown from Monaghan and Ballinderry from Derry. Credit given to the dedication and comittment from the opposing teams in each match which allowed the Warrenpoint children the opportunity to compete against some of the best footballing talent in Ulster.
Cumann Pheadair Naofa performed very well in all 3 group stage matches in which they were narrowly defeated by 2 point margins in each. There were some superb performances by all the Warrenpoint boys and they ended their day with a hard fought performance agains Down rivals Kilcoo.
Cumann Pheadair Noafa Under 10 Training continues each Wednesday and Sunday and all new players are welcome both boys and girls.
