Cumann Pheadaír Naofa 8-3
Carryduff 4-3
On a fine sunny day the U12s travelled to Carryduff to play the last of their regional games of the league, having limited them to just two points a few weeks ago, Carryduff proved to be a lot strong on home turf. The young blues got off to a flying start with goals coming from Liam O’Connor, Darragh Austin, Jarlath Donnelly & two from Tiernan Kelly. The final score of the half came from the outstanding half back and man of the match Matthew Duffy as Warrenpoint boys went in at half time leading by 5-3 to 1-1.
With the rolling subs policy employed by the management the lads were given more of a challenge in the second half as Carryduff rallied to put the Cumann Pheadaír Naofa defence under more pressure and managing to claw back three goals of their own, but the hard working blues continued to get scores of their own with more goals from Niall Rice, Jarlath Donnelly & Liam O’Connor.
Next up for Cumann Pheadaír Naofa will be a tough opponent in Ballygalget next Thursday in Milltown at 7:30.
Team: Liam O’Connor 2-1, Tiernan Kelly 2-0, Jarlath Donnelly 2-0, Matthew Duffy 1-2, Darragh Austin 1-0, Niall Rice 1-0
