Plans are at an advanced stage for the annual P7 St. Dallan’s GAA Health and Wellbeing Day which takes place on Friday 15 April, in partnership with Cumann Pheadair Naofa GAA Club.

Central to this year’s event will be a sense of community and the P7 pupils are busy preparing art work to reflect the community theme for the forthcoming Club’s GAA Day which takes place on 8 May. This will form part of a GAA exhibition in the school on Friday coming.

In addition, the P7 pupils are taking part in a competition to design a Healthy Club logo to mark Cumann Pheadair Naofa’s participation in Phase 2 of the GAA Healthy Club Project.

The GAA is a special day in the school calendar when the P7 pupils come to school, dressed in club and county colours, and avail of the opportunity to increase their knowledge of practical ways to lead a healthy lifestyle.

After enjoying a specially designed healthy lunch, the pupils will enjoy an afternoon of coaching, led by school, club and county coaches.
