Mon 2nd Nov michelle

The postponed Under 21 game between Burren vs Cumann Pheadair Naofa took place on Monday night under floodlights. The Point lads dominated the encounter in the first half with points from Donagh McAleenan, Aaron Magee and Frank Aiken. Burren bounced back however and put up a battle with some great exchanges of play around the middle third of the field, but it was their opponents who led at half time 3.06 to 1.04 Due to the Blues being ruthlessly efficient in taking their scores throughout the first 30 minutes. The Second half saw the Burren team continuing to put it up to the Warrenpoint lads with relentless pressure on the goal line of Danny Murdock who pulled off save after save to maintain the lead. The Point lads managed to pull ahead towards the end of the half with the scores of the half coming from Joe O’Loughlin and Donagh McAleenan to leave the final score 3-11 to 2-7. Cumann Pheadair Naofa now top the group alongside Mayobridge with an away trip to Saul on the 8th November the next challenge for the boys in blue.
