Monday 26 June saw our U14 Footballers take on local rivals Rostrevor in their last league game of the season. A win on the night would have seen the lads clinch the league title. Throw in on Monday was 730pm in Milltown playing fields and a huge crowd turned out to cheer on the lads in this local derby.

The game was fiercely contested and although the final score did not reflect that both Rostrevor and Warrenpoint put in a fantastic effort but it was the Point U14’s who won the game 12-20 to 7-08.

Warrenpoints own Brendan Rice, who is South Down PRO, presented the South Down U14 Div 2 League Shield to Cumann Pheadair Naofa Captain Luke Kelly.

Well done to the whole team and their management team on a super year!

John Daly the U14 Manager said he was immensely proud of his team who had showed spirit and character throughout the season whether in the first 15 or coming on from the bench.
